About Us
Established in 1981 by Mr. P. Rangaraj, our Founder and Chairman, a qualified Instrumentation Professional from MIT, our organization boasts over four decades of experience in power plants, chemical plants, and petrochemical plants in both government and private sectors. With a 54,000 sq. ft. facility in Puducherry, we are equipped with modern design, engineering, and manufacturing capabilities, supported by a team of highly qualified and experienced professionals.
We are certified under ISO 9001:2015, EMS 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 by BVCI, and were honored with the National Award for Outstanding Entrepreneurship by the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) in 2010. Our workforce includes more than 750 direct and indirect C&I professionals working at project sites across India and abroad.
Having successfully executed over 150 projects in control, instrumentation, electrification, and automation, we continue to prioritize excellence in our operations. Our CHEMIN Institute of Instrumentation Management (CHEMIN IIM) follows the motto “Teach, Train, and Make Them Execute,” reflecting our commitment to skill development and industry leadership.

Chemin C & I was established in 1981 by Sri. P. Rangaraj, the Honourable Founder & Chairman. An instrumentation professional, he studied at MIT and was a junior of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.

FOUNDER CHAIRMAN
- Mr. R. RAGU, M.Sc., M.B.A., CC-ADCIM, is the Managing Director of Chemin C & I Pvt. Ltd., with 20 years of experience in promoting and sustaining business operations. Born in the Union Territory of Puducherry, he completed his schooling, graduation, and post-graduation in Puducherry. In 2015, Mr. R. RAGU was awarded the “Outstanding Entrepreneur Award” by the International Society of Automation. He is also a member of the Puducherry State Council of the Confederation of Indian Industry.

MANAGING CHAIRMAN
- Mrs. Radhiga Ragu, M.Sc., B.Ed., CC-ADCIM, is the Joint Managing Director of Chemin C & I, with over 15 years of experience in implementing and sustaining Quality Management Systems, 5S, and Kaizen in the organization. She is currently focusing on finance management and commercial operations. Mrs. Radhiga Ragu was the past chairwoman of CII – IWN (Indian Women Network) and led the Chemin team to win the First Prize in the CII 5S Competition in 2012. She, along with the Managing Director, Mr. Ragu Rangaraj, received the COSIDICI National Award for Outstanding Entrepreneurs. In 2016, she was honored with the Outstanding Achievement & Contribution Award from CII IWN Puducherry.
